Partnerplace setup guide

Hi, the setup process at Partnerplace is very quick - it should take you between 0.5-2 hours. It is however important to think in advance of how you want to structure your partnerships. This is why we've created a helpful excel file which you can use to discuss the structure with your team, before you add it to the system. You can find the file here. The file should be enough to help you set up the platform, but if needed, we've included detailed instructions below. Feel free to consult them as well:

Partner types / tiers

  1. Consider the structure of your partnerships. You will have to define the types and tiers (and commissions) of your partners. We propose to prepare a chart/excel file beforehand.

Please note your type/tier names will be visible to the partners!

Example:

Type: Integration Partner

Tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold

Commissions: 10%, 15%, 20% (for the first year) + 5% forever

Tip: We recommend also creating "Client" and "Employee" partner types - these can be other sources of referrals for you.

Tip 2: Other names we often see: Integration partners, Tech partners, Strategic partners, Referral partners, Brand ambassadors, Consultants

Commissions

  1. To each partner tier you need to assign a commission. They can be used multiple times (e.g. many partner types and tiers can reuse the same commission calculation). Find a name that will make it easy to understand it for both you and your partner.
  2. Please note at this stage we are defining the commission defaults (the default value that will be added to a partner of a certain type/tier). Commissions can always be changed at partner and lead level.

Please note your commission names will be visible to the partners!

Tip: We recommend creating an Internal 0% (no payment) commission. You can use it any time you are sharing a lead with the partner or when a lead is a special case and you don't want a commission.

Forms and fields

  1. Please consider what information you want to collect from your partners.
  2. The form name is internal. Visible only to you. Partners will not see it.
  3. The form fields can be optional/required
  4. The form fields can have a description (to tell the partner what you expect him/her to add)
  5. The form fields can have different question types (single line / multi line / numerical value / single select / multi select / attachment)

Please note we collect some data by default: lead name, tax ID (depending on your settings), partner name (automatically filled out), lead status, stage and estimated yearly value (depending on your settings). You do not need to ask for these in the form.

Tip1: We recommend creating one form for yourself (you can do it by clicking "Mark as default"). Any time you are submitting a lead, you will use that form.

Tip 2: Each form can also be made public - the partner will be able to load it (and bookmark it) without logging into the system

Example form fields:

Branding

  1. You can change the logo, fonts and color of the platform.
  2. Prepare the HEX or RGB codes for the colors you want to use (e.g. #F65954)

Tip: We have gradients on the buttons. In this case you should define 2 colors. If you want it to be a single color, simply type in the HEX code twice.

List of modules

We have an ever expanding list of modules. You can pick and choose the ones that fit your processes best - you can change them once per month if needed.

Tip: We highly recommend checking the modules tab quite often. We have an internal promise to our customers of delivering at least 1 new module per month. Currently we are able to deliver 2-3 times what we promised. At any time you can turn on a new module if you think it is something interesting for you.
