Integrating Partnerplace Webhooks through Zapier

Zapier is an easy-to-use platform that allows you to connect Partnerplace with over 3,000 other apps to automate your workflows. By integrating Partnerplace through Zapier, you can streamline your operations, reduce manual tasks, and ensure that your data flows seamlessly between the platforms you rely on. No coding required!

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to get started with Zapier. Their help center is also a valuable source of information on getting started.:

Step 1: Create an Account on Zapier

  1. Go to Zapier.com and sign up for a free account.
  2. Log in to your Zapier dashboard.

Step 2: Create a New Zap

  1. In your Zapier dashboard, click on the Create Zap button.
  2. You'll be guided to the Zap editor, where you can start building your automation.

Step 3: Set Up the Trigger

  1. Since Partnerplace may not be directly available in Zapier, use the Webhooks by Zapier app as the trigger.
  2. Choose the trigger event "Catch Hook" to capture the incoming webhook data.
  3. Click Continue and Zapier will provide you with a unique webhook URL.
  4. Set up the webhook in Partnerplace using the given URL, or create an HTTP POST request in a separate tool like Make.com to send data from Partnerplace to Zapier using the API.
  5. Example: Use the all-leads  endpoint (https://app.partnerplace.io/version-test/api/1.1/wf/all-leads ) to send lead data to Zapier.

Step 4: Set Up the Action

  1. After the webhook is set, add an action step in Zapier by clicking on + Add a Step.
  2. Choose the app you want to connect to Partnerplace (e.g., Trello, Salesforce, or Gmail).
  3. Select the action you want to perform (e.g., "Create Card in Trello" or "Send Email in Gmail").
  4. Map the data from Partnerplace (received via webhook) to the action fields (e.g., map the lead name to the Trello card title).

Step 5: Set Up Filters or Paths (Optional)

  1. If you want to add conditions to your Zap, click on + Add a Step and choose Filter.
  2. Define the conditions under which the action should be executed (e.g., only create a Trello card if the lead status is "Hot").

Step 6: Test and Turn On the Zap

  1. Click Test & Continue to test the Zap and ensure it's working as expected.
  2. Once everything looks good, click Turn on Zap to activate it.

Example Use Cases

  • Lead Management: Automatically create a new Trello card for each new lead in Partnerplace, ensuring your sales team stays organized.
  • Email Alerts: Send an automatic email to your sales team whenever a lead is marked as "Ready for Payout" in Partnerplace.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Invalid Webhook URL:

  • Solution: Ensure that the webhook URL is correctly copied and pasted into the Webhook URL field in Partnerplace. Test the URL separately to ensure it is accessible.

No Data Received:

  • Solution: Verify that the webhook is correctly set up in your endpoint, such as Zapier or Make.com. Check that the webhook URL is active and that the receiving service is configured to handle the incoming data.

Webhook Not Triggering:

  • Solution: Confirm that the lead data meets the criteria for the webhook trigger (e.g., new lead creation or status change to Accepted). Check the webhook logs in Zapier or Make.com for any error messages.

Connection Timeout:

  • Solution: Ensure that the receiving server for the webhook URL is responsive and has sufficient capacity to handle incoming requests. Consider increasing the timeout settings if supported by the receiving service.
