Slack Integration with Partnerplace
The Slack integration allows you to receive real-time notifications in your Slack workspace when new leads are added to Partnerplace. This keeps your team informed and enables quick responses to new opportunities.
Prerequisites
Before setting up the integration, ensure you have:
- Administrative access to your Slack workspace
- Access to Partnerplace with integration permissions
- The Slack channel where you want to receive notifications
Setting Up the Integration
Step 1: Connect Partnerplace to Slack
- Navigate to your Partnerplace integrations settings in Admin Panel
- Locate the Slack Integration section
- Click the Connect button to initiate the OAuth process
- You will be redirected to Slack's authorization page
Step 2: Authorize the Partnerplace Bot
- Review the list of permissions (scopes) that the Partnerplace bot will require:
- Content and info about you
- Content and info about channels & conversations
- Perform actions in channels & conversations
- Click Allow to grant these permissions
- The Partnerplace bot will be automatically added to your Slack organization
Step 3: Configure Channel Selection
- After authorization, you'll return to Partnerplace
- You'll see a list of your available Slack channels
Select the channel where you want to receive Partnerplace notifications
Step 4: Invite the Bot to Your Channel
This is a crucial step that must be completed manually in Slack:
- Open your selected Slack channel
- Type the following command:
/invite @Partnerplace
- Press Enter to add the bot to the channel
Important: Without completing this step, notifications will not be delivered to your channel.
How It Works
Once the integration is properly configured:
- New leads added to Partnerplace will automatically trigger notifications in your selected Slack channel
- Team members in the channel will be instantly notified of new opportunities
- Notifications include relevant lead information for quick assessment
